This week, we were invited on to the Pacey Performance Podcast to talk with Rob Pacey about how calisthenics and bodyweight training can form an effective part of an athlete’s training programme from the strength and conditioning perspective.
We’ve used calisthenics in elite sports programmes and explain how and why we feel it can be one of the most effective tools for achieving high levels of shoulder robustness through scaling the stability demand in the shoulder in closed kinetic chain upper body movements. The research backs up the claims, along with the physical proof of us and the athletes we’ve used it with so it was great to open up that conversation further in the sports performance world with Rob Pacey on his highly rated podcast.
