This week, we’re excited to speak to Debby Sargent and take a deep-dive into her specialism of training female athletes. Debby is an author, has a Masters of Science and over twenty years of strength and conditioning coaching experience.
Not only does Debby specialise in training female athletes and how the mensural cycle influences training, she has a personal background in gymnastics as a young athlete and been involved as a strength and conditioning coach in the gymnastics environment during her career. As such, she brings valuable context to the calisthenics conversation from the gymnastics perspective. In her role as Technical Demonstrator in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Gloucestershire, she contributes to the development of strength and conditioning modules across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and so comes with plenty of experience of blending practical experience with theoretical knowledge. It was a pleasure having her on the podcast.
