    We are very excited to announce the 2019 luxury retreat!

    It’s all set to be even better than the first two amazing retreats we ran in 2017 (Morzine) & 2018 Peak District). The ‘retreat’ is focused on giving you a personalised calisthenics experience like no other. This year we have a private swimming pool and sauna to add to the luxury experience that includes in house chef, coffee barista, yoga teacher as well as all the fun you’d expect from the School of Calisthenics!

    The yearly retreat is the only place we provide the individualised movement screenings and personalised training programmes designed face to face with our calisthenics experts Tim and Jacko… so it’s not to be missed (only 8 places available)!

    Enjoy full board accommodation with luxury farm house catering

    The natural setting in the beautiful West Sussex combined with the luxury barn conversion makes this a retreat not to be missed. The luxury accommodation offers 8 individual rooms so you’ll get all the privacy you’ll need and every room comes with an en-suite bathroom.

    Brooklands Barn provides the perfect setting to compliment the calisthenics training. The in-house chef we are providing, Rupert Cooper from Borgia Bull UK, will take care of all your nutritional needs and our barista and coffee roaster Alex Shaw, founder of Kickback Coffee, will be on hand to give you a coffee experience you’ll never forget!

    Personalised calisthenics screening and individualised programme design

    This is the only time when you can get an individual physical movement assessment and a bespoke calisthenics training programme designed specifically for you.

    Using our experience of screening and developing strength and conditioning programmes for elite athletes, the team will create a comprehensive programme and training plan for you and then explain the specifics of the thought process behind it whilst coaching you through each of the exercises.

    We don’t offer this opportunity at any other time in the year so don’t miss out!

    Education development sessions

    We’re not just going to cover the practical side of calisthenics training on the field trip but we’ll also include some ‘lessons’.

    These sessions will be fun and informal rather than a university lecture! Tim and Jacko have some great knowledge development sessions planned as we’re passionate about educating our students to help you understand how to optimise your training and write your own programmes.

    They will include some basic exercise science and training theory so you know why you’re doing what you’re doing.

    With all this, ‘redefining your impossible’ is only a matter of time!

    There will be optional yoga sessions and sports massages will also be available – unfortunately these won’t be led by Tim and Jacko!

    The retreat is all about learning more about calisthenics, getting individualised support with your training and when you’re all calisthenics’d out, having fun. The experience and developing your knowledge is of paramount importance to us so there will be plenty of opportunity throughout the four days to pick the brains of the co-founders of the School of Calisthenics.


    Friday 27th to September 2019

    Upon 4pm arrival you’ll get your first taste of the amazing cuisine you’re going to enjoy for the next few days. We’ll then start with a short education session to explain the training principles we’ll be delivering through the 4 days.

    After this we’ll ease into the practical with a movement preparation + mobility session to get over any travel tightness before our first small group training session. There will be some time to relax before the evening meal before we wrap up the first day by getting to know each other over drinks!

    Saturday 28th September 2019

    Our first full day starts with an (optional) yoga session to wake us up and set up the day ahead before breakfast.

    We’ll then start with a short education session to explain the principles of your individualised training programmes before Tim and Jacko will take each of you through your individual screenings and assessments.

    There will be some time to relax between sessions before we have lunch. The afternoon will include a group calisthenics training session before dinner, followed by an informal wrap up of the day and a Q+A over wine or soft drinks.

    Sunday 29th September 2019

    Sundays starts with an optional run / jog / walk / explore of the countryside before a relaxed breakfast. We’ll then kick things off with our morning calisthenics training session.

    We’ll then take you through your individual programmes that we will have created following your screening and assessments on the previous day. This is one-on-one coaching time with Tim or Jacko.

    Having refuelled and maybe following the bliss of a Sunday afternoon nap we’ll head out for another calisthenics training session in the afternoon. Finally we’ll finish Sunday by enjoying our final evening meal together.

    We want to make sure you leave with a plan for the next few months so we’ll have some time discussing how you can maximise your training moving forwards. There will be more opportunity to ask any questions or just to sit back and enjoy the evening.

    Monday 30th September 2019

    The last day kicks off with breakfast before our final training session. We’ll have a light lunch together before we say our emotional farewells around midday!

    Costs & Payment

    Total cost is £1250 per person.

    This includes all training, individualised programming, breakfast, lunch and dinner with drinks at mealtimes, education sessions, individual en-suite rooms, full use of all facilities including swimming pool and sauna plus memories you’ll never forget!

    (Tim’s average and Jacko’s fantastic banter is also included free of charge!)
